Heights (Project
Based Voucher Program) Franklin Heights consists of 129 units with project-based voucher assistance. Eligible families and individuals generally contribute 30% of their adjusted monthly income towards the rent. Nonexempt residents are enrolled in a self-sufficiency program that provides support and resources towards education, work training, and related needs such as childcare and transportation. Franklin Heights units include apartments, townhouses, and single family homes, ranging in size from one to five bedrooms. Constructed in 2015, Commerce Village has 30 one-bedroom apartments, designated as permanent supportive housing for chronically homeless and medically vulnerable individuals. As a recipient of VHDA tax credits, Commerce Village is able to offer affordable rents, which are further subsidized by vouchers, half of which are designated for chronically homeless veterans. J.R. Polly Lineweaver & Lineweaver Annex J.R. “Polly” Lineweaver (JRPL)Apartments: This five-story, 61-unit property has 47 efficiency apartments and 14 one-bedroom apartments for elderly (62+) and/or disabled residents, who pay 30% of their monthly adjusted income towards rent (HUD subsidies cover the rest of the contract rent). Lineweaver Annex Apartments: An addition of 60 one-bedroom units to JRPL.
Residents must be 55+ and/or disabled, and household income must be below 60%
of the area median income. Tenants (unless they also have a housing
choice voucher) pay the full contract rent of $500 per month (includes all
utilities). |
